Our web protection features work with all major browsers including Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge. For corporate accounts, we also offer desktop applications for Windows 10/11 and macOS 10.15+.

How Broadlink Protect Works

What makes Broadlink Protect different from other security apps?

Broadlink Protect uses advanced AI algorithms specifically trained to detect scams, phishing attempts, and fraudulent communications. Unlike traditional security solutions that rely on static rules or signatures, our AI continuously learns from new threats, providing real-time protection against even the most sophisticated scams. We also offer comprehensive protection across multiple channels (email, calls, SMS) in a single application.

How does the AI detection system work?

Our AI system analyzes multiple factors in communications including language patterns, sender information, links, attachments, and contextual data. It compares these against known scam techniques and suspicious patterns. For calls, it can detect voice patterns associated with scam operations. For SMS and emails, it examines content for phishing indicators and malicious links. The system provides real-time alerts when suspicious activity is detected, allowing you to make informed decisions.

Does Broadlink Protect work offline?

While Broadlink Protect works best with an internet connection to access our cloud-based AI analysis, basic protection features can function offline using on-device detection models. However, for the most up-to-date protection against new threats, we recommend maintaining an internet connection when possible. The app will automatically sync and update its protection database when connectivity is restored.

How often is the protection database updated?

Our protection database is updated continuously as new threats are identified. The AI model receives updates at least weekly, and emergency updates are pushed immediately when significant new scam techniques are detected. This ensures you're always protected against the latest threats without needing to manually update anything.

Protection Features

How does Email Protection work?

Broadlink Protect's Email Protection integrates with your email provider to scan incoming messages for phishing attempts, scams, and malicious attachments. It analyzes sender information, email content, links, and attachments to identify potential threats. When a suspicious email is detected, you'll receive an alert with details about the potential threat and recommended actions. You can also manually scan emails you're unsure about using our verification tool.

How does Call Protection work?

Call Protection screens incoming calls in real-time, checking them against our database of known scam numbers and using AI to analyze call patterns. For suspicious calls, you'll receive an on-screen warning before you answer. The feature can also detect voice patterns associated with common scams during calls. Premium users can enable automatic call recording for suspicious numbers (where legally permitted) to help with reporting and verification.

How does SMS Protection work?

SMS Protection scans text messages for phishing links, scam attempts, and fraudulent offers. It analyzes the sender, message content, and any included links or phone numbers. Suspicious messages are flagged with a warning banner, and potentially dangerous links are blocked from opening until you confirm you want to proceed. The system is particularly effective at identifying fake delivery notifications, banking alerts, and prize scams.
